How to Change Your Username

If you have a SpanishDict account on our app or website and would like to change your username, you can do so on SpanishDict.com. 

First, navigate to SpanishDict.com and click "Sign in" in the top right corner.

Sign into your account, and then click on your profile circle in the top right corner. Once a menu drops down, click "Settings".

At the very top of the Settings page, you'll find a box for "Username". Click in that box, delete the old username, type in the new username, and then click "Submit" directly below the text box. 

Please note that you cannot use your email address for the username. The username can only contain letters, numbers, underscores ( _ ), and hyphens ( - ).

This will save the change, and a little green check mark with "Saved!" will appear above the text box.

If you use the SpanishDict app for iPhone, iPad, or Android, this process will update your username in the app as well. However, you will need to either sign out and back in to your account in the app or force quit and reopen the app in order to see the change.
